Cricket boundaries confirmed by the grounds

Most cricket boundary figures in circulation are unattributed — copied between listicles with nothing behind them. The grounds on this page are the exception: each figure here was supplied by the people who set the boundary, in answer to this site's requests. Sixteen of the 123 grounds recorded here carry one, confirmed by eleven organisations — AFL Cairns, Adelaide Oval SMA, Bay Oval Trust, Central Districts Cricket Association, Christchurch City Council, Cricket Ireland, MCC, Northland Cricket Association, Queenstown Lakes District Council, Warwickshire CCC, Wellington Regional Stadium Trust.

Confirmed means the ground's own statement of where its boundary sits — not a claim that the figure never changes. Ropes move between fixtures and formats, so these are the positions the grounds gave, at the time they gave them. And where reading a reply took a judgement call — which line was measured, or which axis is which — the ground's page says so in its Evidence section rather than passing the reading off as the ground's words.

Fifteen of the 16 figures are measured to the rope, the line that actually decides a boundary. Lord's measures to the fence, an upper bound on where a rope would sit. At Malahide Cricket Club the figure is the rope for a T20 fixture — a rope brought in, so shorter than the ground's usual position. The largest confirmed ground is Cazalys Stadium in Cairns (75.5 × 73 m); the smallest is Pukekura Park in New Plymouth (60 × 55 m).
